About Us

Since Summer 2008, we have gathered every Wednesday at Conor O'Neills for a social 5k run.  We have runners of all speeds and offer a great way to meet new active friends whether you consider yourself a runner or just an active individual.  We meet every Wednesday, regardless of the weather or the holidays - Lightning is the only thing that will keep us from our run, although the club will still meet at Conors regardless.

The club meets at 6:15 and leaves promptly at 6:30 pm every Wednesday from Conor O'Neills in downtown Boulder.  Free family style pasta and salad are provided, courtesy of Conor's after the run, as well as $1 off on beers.  The club is free to join and all ages and abilities are welcome.

If it is your first time, you will be asked to sign a waiver. You can also print out a waiver ahead of time. If you provide your email address on the waiver, you will receive the club email on a weekly basis.  Signing up for the email is entirely optional, and you may unsubscribe at any time.

Safety

During daylight savings, please remember to bring a flashlight or headlamp.   The route may be unlit and/or icy in places.

Other safety notes:
  • Just like driving, keep right and pass on the left. Let the person know that you are passing by saying "on your left" or "about to pass". Be courteous.
  • Look both ways before crossing intersections.
  • Do not run with Ipods or MP3 players.
  • Never assume traffic will stop for you.  Drivers may not see you at all.
  • Do not dart in front of traffic.
  • Wear bright clothing.
  • During nighttime or low-lit daytime, carry a flashlight with you or attach a light to your clothing.
  • Watch where you run. There may be construction or potholes in your way.
  • In the winter, the sidewalks and paths may be icy.  Please be careful and bring traction of necessary.
